Kaleolani and Pono would like to invite students to join them for a variety of “talk story” time and learning the Hawaiian “old ways” of healing. They have opened ka ʻike kūhohonu o kuʻu hoʻonaʻauao ōpūweuweu (the deep knowledge from my home of learning).
We are very excited for the time to share with those haumana (students) interested in these classes.
Hawaiian Energetics Advanced Training
HAWAIIAN ISLANDS BIG ISLAND AND MOLOKAI
Part 1: April 16th thru 23rd on Hawaii (Big Island)

(travel days April 24th and 25th)
The astrological signs for this time in Hawaii are quite amazing.
The Healing & Spiritual Arts of
Hawaii's Medical Kahuna
The Hawaiian Energetics Advanced Training takes the knowledge gained in the initial training, deepens the understanding and expands the knowledge base. Attention to each student's individual needs, skills, and callings is the prominent factor in the development of the training content.
The Advanced classes flow with the rhythm, sounds, movements, “old ways” of Hawaii, and provides for exciting and challenging openings for everyone involved.
This Advanced Class will incorporate classroom, travel to sacred sites, beginning ritual and ceremony, chant, element exploration out and about the island, hands on experience with other students to deepen the relationship and skill each student has with the elements and mana. You will also learn Mana building for healing, energetic flow, spirals in the body, and methods for self-healing, working with the 3 bodies to promote and enliven the primal healing forces, calling and use of the 4 elements.
During the advanced training, each student will learn the relationships between the elements, and the various systems and organs of the body. An understanding of the body's physical and energetic structure and function will be examined. Each student will participate in water therapy, earth therapy, and air element experience for their own healing and initiation with those elements.
This two-part advanced training class takes place on the islands of Hawaii, and Molokai (MOLOKAI IS HIGHLY MAGICAL AND VERY POWERFUL ISLAND). This is to facilitate the understanding and experience of the elemental energies of each of these islands and the philosophical foundations of the work.
The initial training class is required prior to taking the advanced class, Intermediate class is recommended.

Getting to the Big Island
From the mainland, you can fly directly into the Kailua-Kona Airport (airport code KOA). Many major airlines have flight options - Alaska, American, United, Hawaiian, Delta, among others.
Renting a Car on the Big Island
The Kailua-Kona Airport has the major car rental companies. Another good option is Turo.com. This app facilitates renting a private person's car rather than going through one of the brand name rental companies.
Where to Stay
There are a number of hotels in the area and AirBnB/VRBO options close by. The benefit to AirBnB or VRBO is you can find studio apartments or 1, 2 and 3 bedroom rentals with full kitchens. To stay relatively close to the primary class location, find lodging in the general vicinity of Kailua-Kona / Kahalu'u / Keauhou area.
The exact location of class has been confirmed and we'll announce that to those who are registered.
Finding Groceries
The Kailua-Kona area has all the conveniences. There are major grocery stores such as Safeway or KTA. There is also a Costco, Walmart, and a Target store.
Molokai is a small island that is working hard to keep its "locals" feel. As a result, there are limited options for travel, car rentals, and lodging on the island.
Our itinerary provides for April 24 and April 25 to move from the Big Island to Molokai, get settled, buy groceries, etc.
Getting to Molokai
At this time, there is one airline that flies into Molokai (airport code for Molokai is MKK). Mokulele (Southern Airways) flies to Molokai from either Honolulu (HNL) or Kahului Maui (OGG)
You will need to fly from Kona (KOA) to either Honolulu or to Maui, and then take Mokulele to Molokai. Hawaiian Airlines will partner with Mokulele, so you can book your flight through Mokulele (https://www.mokuleleairlines.com/) for the entire trip.
The Maui to Molokai Ferry is no longer in service so Mokulele Airlines is the only option... assuming you would prefer not to swim or paddle across the 8-mile Pailolo Channel. There are a few flights throughout the day. Keep in mind these small airplanes carry only 8-9 passengers.
Renting a Car on Molokai
The only Car Rental company on Molokai is Alamo. Check Turo.com for private party rentals, and some (not many) condos offer the ability to rent the condo owner's car. It is worth checking into.
Where to Stay
We will be in the area of the Kalua Koi Resort on the West End of Molokai. There are studio and one bedroom condos at Ke Puhi Beach and two and three bedrooms at Ke Nani Kai. Larger two and three bedroom condos are available in the Paniolo Hale section of the resort area.
A word of caution... when you search for housing, it is not uncommon for condos on Oahu and Maui to be included in search results. Make certain your condo is on the west end of Molokai. Condos in Kepuhi Beach, Ke Nani Kai, or Paniolo Hale will be in close proximity to where class will be located.
Groceries and Other Supplies
Also, the Kalua Koi Resort has a small convenience store on the property. However, grocery stores and a limited number of restaurants are found only in the town of Kaunakakai which is a 30-35 minute drive.
Finding Roommates
If you would like to find a roommate to help share rental car and lodging costs, let us know. We will do our best to notify others who are looking as well.
This course is recommended for those with an interest in Hawaii, Hawaiian spirituality, energy healing, and spiritual growth. Often, individuals feel called to Hawaii, or to find a deeper relationship with nature and the heavens. With the specialty in healing and assessment skills, this training is also a great complimentary option for health care professionals, whether medical or natural approaches.
The pre-requisite for this course is completion of a Hawaiian Energetics Initial Training with a Kumu of the Ke Kumu Lineage. Prior completion of a Hawaiian Energetics Intermediate Training is recommended, but not required.
Registration covers the cost of the training only. You are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of your own travel, lodging, meals, and car rental. We will be happy to help if you would like to connect with potential roommates to share the costs of car and lodging. If you take advantage of AirBnB, VRBO, or similar, you should be able to find a nearby house or condo with kitchen facilities. This helps to reduce the cost of meals over eating at one of the many local restaurants every day.
Reach out to either Pono or Kaleolani to discuss your situation and options the options that can work. The Advanced Training has been divided into two parts: Part 1 includes 8 days on Hawaii Island (Big Island) and Part 2 includes 7 days on Molokai plus an evening gathering prior to the official beginning of class. The trainings offered on each island flow together for a cohesive and complete training, and each individual island is also a complete training in itself.
If you can only attend part of the training, the best option is to choose either the Big Island or Molokai. However, speak with us about your specific limitations and we will try to find a solution for you.
This option is not available at this time. If you wish to attend, but cannot be in Hawaii for the class(es), please contact either Kaleolani or Pono to inquire whether or not this option can be arranged.
Please note: In the event we can make available a Zoom option, it will be a typical, single-camera broadcast, and only the "in-classroom" segments will be provided. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer the multi-camera option that Pono offers from his teaching studio in North Carolina.
No. This training has not been approved by the NCBTMB for Continuing Education Hours. That said, the information, understandings, skills, and experiences will provide valuable supplement to your massage skills.
The course is limited to 20 in-person seats to permit the best environment for learning this very personal journey. If all 20 in-person seats have been taken, we will provide a "Interested/Waiting List" form to sign up to be notified. If a seat opens due to a cancellation, the waiting list group will be contacted and the seat is available on a first come, first served basis.
Important: If we have at least 3 people on the waiting list, we will attempt to book a larger venue close by.
